It’s not very often that I get pictures of the recipients wearing the things I’ve made for them. So when my friends welcomed their new baby girl and shared this picture of her wearing the baby bear hat I knit for her, I just had to have a copy. This was one of the smallest hats I’ve ever made, and since this little girl was born early, it was a perfect match.
I also made this crocheted blanket to go with the hat. It’s one of my new favorite baby blanket patterns. I just love it.

[weird pattern name, lovely pattern!]
with modified simple ruffle edging
Yarn: Snowflake (Hobby Lobby); Acrylic/Wool Blend
in colors Creamsicle and Primrose
Hook: Size H
Here’s the proud mama at her baby shower opening up the blanket just shortly before baby’s arrival. Congrats, friend, on your sweet baby girl.
So sweet. That is a lovely blanket pattern.
